Learning New Skills

We want everyone who comes to Beyond Limits to have the chance to learn new skills and experience new things. We often have visiting tutors sharing various opportunities with us, from arts and crafts, to photography, to first aid, and many other interesting activities.  However we are also lucky to have some very talented volunteers and staff members who have some skills of their own, aside from what they do on a day to day basis in their working life and at the charity, that they are happy to share, giving people the opportunity to learn something new and find new hobbies.

Mally's Gardening Classes

With over 50 years of experience, there is nothing Mally doesn't know about gardening.  He is never happier than when is it outside and up to his elbows in compost and bulbs, so he jumped at the chance to lead some classes and pass on his years of knowledge.

Michelles Jewellery Workshop

After learning how to work with resin in the arts and crafts classes we run, Michelle found she had a knack for the skill, and more importantly that she really enjoyed it. She also found she enjoyed making jewellery and hair accessories from various materials such as leather, and metal. So she began creating amazing pieces. As it turned out she couldn't create them fast enough as people wanted to buy them quicker than she could produce them. So the only answer seemed to be a class to learn how to make, at least the simpler bits and pieces. and what a great time we all had!

Music Therapy

Music and singing is one of the most powerful things there is. Our group doesn't care if you sound like Pavarotti or a cat caught in a blender. We want you to sing loud and sing proud, because you will feel so much better after a session with everyone.
