Coronation Celebrations

The Coronation of King Charles III was a moment in history that needed to be remembered and an occasion to be marked. We knew that for many the Coronation would be a once in a lifetime event, the likes of which would never be seen again, so we wanted to make it as special as possible. So we opulled out all the stops with a garden party, visiting entertainers, amazing food, hand made costumes, Afternoon Teas, special guests, and lots and lots of fun and laughter.

Carriage Rides

Why should the King and Queen be the only ones who get to ride in a carriage?  We think our guests deserve the royal treatment as well. And from what we have heard about the very beautiful but rather old Gold State carriage, this ride will have been a lot more comfortable! For those who wanted something a little more modern we also had a limo taking people for a swanky ride round the countryside.

Petting Zoo

Even the animals wanted to get in on the action and help celebrate our new monarch. Our young people (and the older ones if truth be told,) loved having the sheep, goats, and various other furry friends visit us and they loved being fussed, cuddled, and fed lots of tasty treats by the guests.

Garden Games

We kept everyone occupied and having fun with lots of different activities including some giant versions of games from our childhood. After all, this is a celebration, and what is a celebration without fun and games.

Bouncy Castles and Slides

No British garden party is complete without a massive inflatable or two that has parents convinced they are going to be taking their kids home shoeless, and the kids so excited that they almost vomit their candy floss all over the car on the way home from all the bouncing! *Disclaimer, none of these things happened! Although the short burst of rain did make for some soggy bottoms.

Children's Entertainers

Probably everyones favourite part of the day were the children's entertainers, who were wandering around the grounds doing tricks, showing their skills and generally being amazing.  They also kept putting on impromptu shows so people could sit down and watch whilst they rested their legs for a moment with a cup of tea and a piece of cake.

Live Singers

What party would be complete without fantastic music to dance to? We were lucky enough to have 2 fabulous singers to entertain us on the day, Carrie and Siobhan, who kept the crowd going with some fantastic songs. Dancing, singing and generally in the party spirit.

Afternoon Tea

For anyone who couldn't manage the garden party we decided to have a more low key event.  But low key does not mean less fun. We had a wonderful afternoon tea the following week where we still had live entertainment, the chance to sing and dance, chat to everyone and enjoy beautiful food. But a lot less running around or bouncing on inflatable castles and slides. Still a fantastic afternoon, where music, bingo, quizzes and dancing led to so many prizes being won and everyone going home happy.
