Christmas 2021 Activities

We have had so much going on this December.  To check out our Winter Wonderland head over to the page we have dedicated to just that.  But that is not the only thing we have had happening at Beyond Limits this festive season.  Below are just some of the highlights of this December; our way of trying to make this year special for everyone.

Volunteer Gifts

One of our wonderful volunteers, Janine, made these beautiful teacup and saucer gifts with chocolates in, to send out to elderly people in the community who may be lonely and not receive many gifts this Christmas. Around 100 or so went out to local care homes and elderly residents in the community. Here they are being modelled by the lovely Mel.

Hospital Gifts

As well as volunteer made gifts, we also sent brand new toys out to the local hospital to be given to the children's ward.  Unfortunately illness doesn't take a break at Christmas and there are still lots of poorly children in hospital so we wanted to cheer them up with gifts. Siobhan dropped off a big Santa sack full of brand new toys to hopefully put some smiles on their faces.

Community Gifts

It wasn't just children in the hospital that were sent a smile with gifts for Christmas.  Our amazing volunteer team sent out gifts to children within the community who might otherwise not have had much come Christmas Day.  I'm sure you can tell from the smiles on their faces how much they love what they do.

Christmas Wreath Class

Our arts group couldn't let the chance for some Christmas crafting go by, so we had a Christmas wreath class.  Everyone had a fab morning, and some beautiful wreaths were produced.  You wouldn't know it was a first time for most of the people involved!

Christmas Afternoon Tea

The festivities of December culminated in our Christmas Afternoon Tea.  Food provided by Fifteas Vintage Tea Room in Bishop Auckland, which was fabulous, entertainment provided by Siobhan (I'd say she was fabulous too, but its actually me writing this, so I will abstain from comment,) and absolutely crazy games and quizzes.  An absolutely wonderful day and great fun was had by all.
